Egmont Bulgaria is the local licensee for the publishing products of major companies such as WALT DISNEY, WARNER BROS, MATTEL, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, SCHOLASTIC UK, etc. It is an established leader in children publishing in Bulgaria, with product portfolio consisting of magazines, books and other publishing products.


Magazines
Currently, Egmont Bulgaria publishes several magazines targeted to different age groups – from preschool to juveniles and teens.

Mickey Mouse
Egmont launched its activities in Bulgaria with the first issue of Mickey Mouse magazine, published on April 24, 1991. Today, Mickey Mouse is the only weekly children magazine in Bulgaria. It entertains its readers with comic stories about WALT DISNEY's characters and numerous editorial pages such as puzzles, games, jokes, tips & tricks. Every issue of the magazine has a gimmick.

Barbie
The most charming of all children magazines is targeted towards Barbie fan girls. It contains articles about Barbie's lifestyle and illustrated stories, various games, tests and fun activities, which provoke girls’ imagination and develop their skills and talents. There are also simple recipes and fashion pages. Part of the magazine’s concept is a lottery for one of MATTEL’s Barbie dolls. Beautiful gifts, suitable for girls, are included with the magazine.

Tom and Jerry
Tom and Jerry magazine features comic adventures of the beloved children's characters from WARNER BROS’ popular animated sequel. The magazine also provides its readers with games, puzzles and other activity pages.

Princess
Disney Princess retells fairytales with the favorite animated princess characters from WALT DISNEY movies. Important features of the magazine’s concept are the fun activities, through which girls, helped by their parents, acquire useful skills. Since January 2006, the magazine is packaged with a gimmick – adornment for every little princess.

Winnie-the-Pooh
Winnie-the-Pooh provides children with the opportunity to get acquainted with Nature in a new, interesting and fun way, and to learn how to appreciate and protect it. Prepared by the writers and editors of WALT DISNEY with expertise in children's education and psychology, Winnie the Pooh amusingly educates preschool children while spending time with their parents. The concept of the magazine includes getting to know animals and plants through wonderful pictures and activity pages, funny stories and tales of exciting adventures.

Dumbo
Dumbo magazine is suitable for children in the pre-school age group. The magazine’s concept is to develop the skills and imagination of young readers through various puzzles, funny games, entertaining activities, and prize-winning competitions. All characters from WALT DISNEY’s animated motion pictures participate in Dumbo’s games and stories.

Spectacular Spider-man
With each issue of the magazine the young Spider-man fan gets a fascinating and dynamic comic story as well as interesting infomation about the characters of MARVEL universe. Posters, contest with prizes and many types of activity pages are also included.

Vesel zoopark (Animal World)
Containing interesting and funny stories and activities, Animal World magazine offers information suitable for the intellectual development of children. Young readers learn to read, focus and analyze various situations, while enjoying the amusing adventures of the comic animated DISNEY characters.

High School Musical
The magazine reflects the Disney Channel original movie making readers feel part of the world presented. It speaks not only for the characters but for the actors as well giving details from their lives. One of the most important sections in the magazine is the "Back stage" where the readers might see pictures from the making of the movie. The great posters are the strongest part which grabs the fans of the movie. They can enjoy the funny tests connected to the story of the film and see if their personal profiles resembles the personalities of their favorite characters. Style advice is given for those who really like to be like their loved stars.

W.I.T.C.H.
Each issue of W.I.T.C.H. contains an episode of an adventurous comic saga about five girls and their two main missions: to live their ordinary teenage life and to protect the world from the evil powers of the universe… They have different personalities, problems, family relations, emotions, temperaments, but are also equipped with extraordinary powers and involved in fastastic adventures. The magazine also includes tests, posters, a monthly horoscope, fashion and beauty hints, prize-winning competitions. Special issues of the magazines appear throughout the year.

BRAVO
BRAVO magazine reflects the dynamic life of young people and speaks in their language about stars, music, movies, love and sex. The concept of the magazine emphasizes on information about the music and movie stars and curious facts about their professional and personal life.

* Target audience: teenagers 11 - 15
* Format: A4, 32 pages, including posters
Books
Egmont Bulgaria publishes a variety of books of different price levels, targeted at various age groups, and in different formats: storybooks, novels, and activity and painting books. Currently, the company publishes about 150 book titles per year.
Disney
Egmont Bulgaria is the local publisher of DISNEY books and other publishing products. The company portfolio covers a wide range of categories and formats. Here are some of them:
* Princess – This franchise, dedicated to the memorable DISNEY female characters, is presented with a number of retail storybooks, sticker books, painting and activity products, novelty and gift books, and non-fiction books.
* W.I.T.C.H. – The basis of this franchise is a popular teenage comic saga magazine. Book formats include retail storybooks, fiction books, and novelty and sticker books.
* Winnie-the-Pooh – Books featuring the cheerful Pooh and his animal friends are excellent for both reading and education. They include storybooks, CD books, and coloring and activity books. 
* Classics – Retail storybooks and painting and activity products with the classical characters from the DISNEY films.
Barbie
Barbie is the favorite girls’ character in a number of retail storybooks, novelty, and painting and activity books based on various MATTEL movies and doll collections.
Harry Potter
Egmont Bulgaria is the local publisher of the famous novels by J.K. Rowling, and of the movie-based merchandising publishing products, such as albums, calendars, posters and others.
National Geographic
Since 2002, Egmont Bulgaria is the local publisher of National Geographic books, including photo albums, photographic manuals, encyclopaedias, calendars, and other publishing products.
Horrible...
In 2000, Egmont Bulgaria started publishing Scholastic’s "Horrible Histories" book series, followed by "Horrible Science", "Murderous Maths" and "Horrible Geography". Up to now, more than 60 titles from the four series have been published.
Computer manuals
Up to now, about 20 books have been published from the computer manuals series, covering both computer basics and more specialized topics.
Other publishing products
Egmont Bulgaria publishes books with audio CDs and variety of calendars, diaries and notebooks.
